Since 1986, Clipper has been a trusted provider of high-speed ferry services between Seattle, WA, and Victoria, BC, with the iconic Victoria Clipper catamarans. Over the years, we’ve carried more than 8 million guests, offering unique marine transportation, scenic tours, and curated accommodation packages. In addition to our ferry service to Victoria, our seasonal whale-watching excursions from Seattle’s waterfront add an unforgettable adventure for travelers of all ages.
Every Clipper guest comes to us seeking a special travel experience. Our service is primarily tourism and adventure travel; a few of our guests are commuters or business travelers. We are the only ferry service operating between Seattle and Victoria, and the only whale-watching excursion adventure based in downtown Seattle
Company History
In 2016, Clipper was acquired by FRS Group of Germany (Fast, Reliable, Seaways), a globally recognized family-owned ferry operator active in more than 10 countries. Re-branded as FRS Clipper in 2021, we became part of the FRS family—a family of companies who are world leaders in passenger, vehicle, and tourism ferry services. With over 150 years of experience, FRS operates routes in Europe, the Middle East, the USA, Canada, and the Caribbean. FRS Clipper is the second largest company in the Group by revenue.
